Old Zion Wesleyan Youth Raise $1,000 to Fight Hunger

Youth at Old Zion Wesleyan Church give up not only their time, but also give up eating for 30 hours to participate in World Vision’s 30 Hour Famine.  They are going without food so others can eat and raised more than $1,000 in the process.

Another tangible result of the Famine was that this simple act of going without food on behalf of children half a world away helped to draw our youth closer to Christ.  They experienced compassion -- feeling the pain alongside children who don’t have a choice about their own circumstances.  Just as Christ chose to suffer on behalf of the whole world.

Please continue to pray for the youth in our congregation and World Vision’s efforts to save kids' lives.

World Vision is a Christian relief and development organization dedicated to helping children and their communities worldwide reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty. We serve the world's poor— regardless of a person's religion, race, ethnicity, or gender .
